Lebanon-Emerald Mound
Fire Protection District

The Lebanon-Emerald Mound Fire Protection District (LEMFPD) encompases the City of Lebanon as well as areas surrounding and outside of city limits. The Lebanon Emerald Mound Volunteer Fire Department (LEMVFD) is a member of a group of Mutual Aid Fire Departments and can be seen assisting in many surrounding areas and communities.

The LEMFPD is a separate entity from the City of Lebanon and is also a separate taxing district.

The LEMFPD is governed by a Board of Trustees
that are appointed by the Saint Clair County Board.

Lebanon Community Unit
School District 9

The Lebanon Community Unit School District provides education at the pre-Kindergarten through High School (pre-K-12) level for students in Lebanon, Summerfield, and the surrounding area.

The LCUSD9 is a separate taxing body and
is governed by an elected School Board.

Horner Park District

The Horner Park District encompasses the City of Lebanon, City of Summerfield, and surrounding areas.
With responsibility for parks in Lebanon, Summerfield, and Horner Park - North of the Lebanon City Borders.

The Park District is a separate taxing body and is governed by an elected Board of Commissioners.

Note that Horner Park is a public park on private land, with its own group of Trustees. The Board of Commissioners works closely with the Trustees in matters affecting Horner Park.
